Partnerships should benefit both parties, and that’s just what’s happened with RAM Surgical, a locally owned diverse supplier working with Methodist in supply chain management.
“Methodist takes pride in being able to support diverse suppliers wherever possible – this is one of our ongoing goals,” says Jan Lea, supply chain VP. Methodist has achieved a 12 percent overall spend with diverse suppliers, while many other hospitals struggle to reach an average of 3 percent. This is particularly significant because Methodist only purchases goods and services from diverse suppliers with competitive prices and excellent service.
RAM Surgical Instruments was nominated Black Enterprise Magazine Small Business of the Year for 2010. This award is presented to the small business owner whose pursuits exemplify the commitment needed to attain success.
